Often, the tow cables in armour kits are not looking too good, they have a lot of flash, and when bended, you risk breaking them. It is much faster to make them yourself from cobber wire.
First, you'll need to make the twisted steel cble. For this, get some thin (0.5 mm.) cobber wire. Cobber wire is better than steel cables, because they are softer, and therefore easier to bend to shape.
Fold the cable 3-4 times, each section being about 30 cm. long. Then, tie one end to something that won't move, such as a hook on the wall. Tie the other end around the end of a pencil or another long, slim object. Turn the pencil, keeping the wires tight, until they have the right "twist" - you make the call. You can heat the wires if you want, this will make them a little softer - a cigarette lighter will do, but watch your fingers!
To make the loop ends, either take those from the kit, or use Tamiyas Panzer IV tool kit. You can also make them yourself, or buy resin ones, but this is either difficult of expensive. Paint your cable, then bend the cable to position on your model (don't make any sharp curves, the cable should look flexible, but not soft), and glue it onto the model with super glue.
