Examining every possible artilery piece, from the smallest anti-aircraft gun to the most massive railroad artillery piece, German Artillery of World War Two is a very valuable source. The book starts out by a brief introductino to the German Armys artillery branch, and continues onto the real gem - the artillery. Every possible gun is covered, including misc. infantry, field, mountain and railroad artillery, anti-aircraft guns, anti-tank guns, costalartillery and recoilless guns.
Each gun is presented with a production history and key data, as well as often several photos. If special data is available, these are presented too.
The appendixes examines the ammunition types in detail, and presents a list of foreign guns in German service. This book is a very good and inexpensive guide to the German artilery, and no serious historian should be wihtout it. It has an index sorted by caliber, so it is the perfect tool for easy reference. It is highly recommended!
